Submissions Guidelines

Student's Work must be original!     (Any copyrighted or other's images must be altered from its original or previous format in composition and intent.)



Eligibility
The show is open to high school students (grade 9-12) in Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Minnesota. Submitted work must have been created within the student's high school career, however, the work can be an assignment or independent project. Any medium will be accepted; including digital and motion art. All artwork needs to be able to fit through a standard size door.

Entry Fee
It is free to enter this show.

Accepted Works
This is a juried process - not everything submitted may be accepted. Notification of acceptance will be both mailed and emailed to the addresses provided (please make sure the email submitted is a working email.)

Accepted works must be gallery ready and on campus by January 29th, 2019. Two-dimensional work needs to be display ready. Motion graphics will be projected within the gallery. The student artist is responsible for delivery and pick up of their work. If shipped, please pack in a reusable container with return postage. Works not collected by April 28th, 2019 are considered abandoned and may be discarded. All work must remain for the duration of the exhibit.

Although we are as careful as possible, BVU cannot be responsible for lost or damaged work.

Submission Guidelines
Selected works that are not accurately represented by the digital file may be excluded from the exhibition.
  • Title files with artist name and title of artwork: (LastFirstName_TitleofWork.jpg)
  • Static images should be jpg @ 72 dpi, no smaller than 4 inches (288px) and no larger than 11 inches (800px) on either side.
  • Non-Static, digital works (video, animation) should be submitted using a link to a web URL.
Reception
A public reception will be held for the exhibition on Saturday, February 9th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with an awards presentation at 2:30 pm and evaluations from 2:45 pm to 4:00 pm. All are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.
